Chat on stream
Put your Twitch chat on stream
A chat box shows your chat on stream, with emotes and badges, in the style of the rest of your overlay. It is a link you paste into OBS once, and a message a mod deletes leaves it too.
What it shows
- Every message, with Twitch emotes and 7TV, BetterTTV and FrankerFaceZ ones
- Badges, which you can turn off
- As many lines as you choose, fading out after a while if you like
- Chat from Kick and YouTube too, with a small tag, once you link them
Add it to OBS
- Sign in to Switchbud with Twitch.
- On the Widgets screen, click Chat box under Add.
- Pick its look: the preview shows exactly what OBS will.
- Copy the link under “Add to OBS”. In OBS, add a Browser source, paste it, and give it the size shown (500 × 700 to start).
Can I hide bots and commands?
Yes. List the names to hide, such as your bots, and switch on hiding lines that start with “!”. With the chat bot’s banned words on, a line it removes never reaches the chat box.
Will it match my overlay?
Yes. It takes the colours and font you set once for everything, and a pack gives it the same style as your alerts, goal bar and scenes.
