Song requests

Song requests on Twitch, with !sr

Viewers type !sr and a YouTube link, and the song plays on stream after the last one. You choose who can ask, how long a song may play, and whether you approve each one first.

Set it up

  1. On the Widgets screen, add a Media player and put it in OBS. Tick “Control audio via OBS” so the songs reach your stream.
  2. Open Viewers, then Song requests & Up next, and switch them on.
  3. Viewers type !sr and a YouTube link in chat.

You stay in charge

  • Who can ask, and how many songs each may have waiting
  • The longest a song plays
  • Approve each song first, or let them play
  • Words or videos that are never played
  • Pause, skip, reorder and remove songs, you and your editors

In chat

!song says what is playing, !queue what comes next, and !wrongsong takes your last request out of the queue. Mods can !skip.

Can a song cost channel points?

Yes. Pick a channel-points reward: redeeming it with the link as the message requests the song. Leave it blank and !sr is free for anyone allowed. Media share also plays a YouTube video sent with a tip, after your OK.
